The drive for a fourth straight trip to Omaha begins in Chapel Hill with the Heels once again playing regional host. The Heels are seeded #4 overall in the bracket and coming off two straight losses at the ACC Tournament. Not to worry though, maybe Mike Fox is using the Roy Williams theory on conference tournaments before winning a national title.
UNC opens up regional play against Darmouth in Chapel Hill at 6 PM on Friday. That game will be preceded by Coastal Carolina vs Kansas.
Wait...Kansas? Anyone want to lay odds on Roy wearing a Jayhawk sticker if he shows up at Boshamer? Yeah, I didn't think so. Anyway, Coastal Carolina likely stands as the bigger threat since they would love to up-end UNC after losing to the Heels in the Super Regional last season.
Should the Heels advance they would possibly see either East Carolina or South Carolina who are playing at the regional in Greenville.
