UNC Women Go Home

The other NCAA Tournament isn't going as well for Carolina, as the women's team was eliminated in the second round by Purdue, 85-70. Their tournament troubles can be largely summed up by Rashanda McCants' struggles, as she finished her career at UNC with back to back 1 for 9 and 3 for 15 shooting performances. It was the Heels' second worse loss of the season, behind a thirty-point blow out against Connecticut in January.

The Heels will lose McCants and fellow starter Iman McFarland to graduation, as well as reserves Laura Barry and Alex Miller.
