Ginyard, Graves Out For Charleston

And one, possibly both are questionable for Virginia Tech on Sunday which in Ginyard's case I take as a really bad sign since there is another six days between this game and the ACC opener.

Justin Watts will play but it appears Roy Williams will start Dexter Strickland at SG instead of Watts. As for the small forward spot, Roy will decide that by the pre-game meal at 3 PM using a series of complex calculations involving an abacus and C.B. McGrath's left pinky toe.

Reserve Justin Watts, who's also been suffering from a sprained right ankle, will play tonight. Freshman Dexter Strickland will replace Ginyard as a starter in the backcourt.

Williams said he will decide by the pregame meal at 3 p.m. today which freshman - John Henson or David Wear - will start in place of Graves. Williams said he's not just holding Ginyard and Graves out of the game as a precautionary measure . Even if the Tar Heels were playing an ACC game, Ginyard and Graves would not play.

One or both players might also miss Sunday's opener against Virginia Tech. Ginyard, the team's fifth-year senior leader, will miss his third straight game and fourth overall this season.

Is there anything to be read into this decision? Has Henson shown improvement to warrant getting a start or will Roy go with David Wear again despite his not being all the impressive in his first start against Marshall? Decisions, decisions. Just win the game and get out in one piece.

The real business of the season starts on Sunday.
