Southern Indiana senior Jeron Lewis died after falling during last night's game at Kentucky Wesleyan. Lewis' feet became tangled during play under the basket and he fell hitting his head. The death of a young athlete has always been terrifying to me as it is proof that no matter how big and strong you are, the next day is never guaranteed. I can still remember exactly where I was when I heard the news that Hank Gathers had died nearly 20 years ago.
Thoughts and prayers go out to his family, and especially his infant son.
