Graves Has Ankle Surgery

Wait...what?

This was mentioned in the comments the other day. Neither I nor anyone else had heard anything about surgery for Will Graves which probably speaks volumes about UNC's adherence to HIPPA regulations.

Graves had surgery on Friday to clean out scar tissue from his right ankle probably left over from the ankle sprain he suffered against Albany on December 30th. That led to him missing the College of Charleston game which UNC lost and most of us have come to believe was the moment when someone pushed the handle on the toilet flushing the season down to the sewer.

It was an arthroscopic procedure which is fairly routine. The prognosis is four to six weeks which puts Graves back in action around early August which means the senior will miss the pick-up this summer.

The upside to all of this? They didn't wait until October like they did with Marcus Ginyard.
