A Look Back At The 1995 Regional Final vs Kentucky

Here are the final few minutes via The Carolina Legacy from the last time these two titans of college basketball met in the NCAA Tournament. UNC, the #2 seed in the Southeast that season, had assumed marginal control of the game despite committing 20 turnovers against the Wildcat press. #1 seeded Kentucky could not hit the broadside of a barn with a sawed off shotgun from the perimeter after throttling three straight opponents coming into this game. In the end it was a combination of UNC controlling the boards and Donald Williams hitting big shots.

We talked about UNC getting revenge on Friday night for the 1977 loss to Marquette. I am sure Kentucky fans would like some payback for this night in Birmingham.

Tip off in nine hours.
