Another smorgasbord of basketball as eight more teams will punch their tickets to the Sweet Sixteen. A number of top seeds play today as three #1s and two #2's (including UNC) are in action.
Given last weekend's Fab Five documentary and the racially-tinged comments that group made about Duke and their dislike of the Blue Devils, the Duke/Michigan matchup could have fireworks if today's players weren't in diapers when the Duke/Michigan games in question were played. Other games of note include George Mason again trying to play the role of David to Ohio State's Goliath; VCU continuing to try to make Gene Smith look like a genius against Purdue; a matchup of current and former Illinois coaches as Bill Self and Kansas squares off against Bruce Weber and the Illini; and potentially the most intriguing game of the day, on paper anyway, as Arizona and Texas meet in the "Guys NCSU Fans Wish Would Come Coach Their Team" game.
Comments if you have them.
