The media predictions for the 2011 football season are in and UNC has been tabbed 3rd in the Coastal Division behind Virginia Tech and Miami. Here are the full results.

The media picked FSU to win the ACC title game over Virginia Tech. Most of the votes were rational except the ones predicting Georgia Tech would win the Coastal, Boston College would win the Atlantic and then BC winning the ACC title over Virginia Tech.Of course BC has the preseason pick for conference player of the year in RB Montel Harris so I guess is it not totally insane to think the Eagles could make noise it just doesn't seem likely.
UNC seems to be perpetually stuck in the 3rd or 4th place range which will probably equate to an 8-4 record. At this point UNC is not on a lot of people's radar to do more than that so there is an opportunity if some things break the right to maybe move past Miami and challenge Virginia Tech.
