McDonald's All-American Game Tonight

The annual McDonald's All-American game will be held tonight at the United Center in Chicago and televised on ESPN starting at 8:30 PM.

Unlike past years, UNC only has one future Tar Heel in this game. Incoming point guard Marcus Paige from Linn-Mar High School in Iowa will play on the West team. Paige is ranked 29th by Scout.com and is the third rated PG in the class. ESPN has him a bit higher at 23rd overall. Given UNC could be losing its starting point guard to the NBA, Paige stands to become an important piece heading into next season.

Besides Paige, there are several future ACC players in this game. NC State has three in Rodney Purvis, T.J. Warren and Tyler Lewis who will play on the East team. Duke commit Rasheed Sulaimon will join Paige on the West team.

As always, virtually nothing can be gleaned from watching these games other than this is usually the first time most fans see a recruit for the first time. Take it with a grain of salt.
