The field has been announced for next year's Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas and the Tar Heels will join a very stacked field in what may be the best of the early season tournaments.
The three day event, which will take place November 26-28 in the Bahamas will include North Carolina, UCLA, Georgetown, Florida, Wisconsin, Butler, Oklahoma and UAB.
Based on that lineup, the Tar Heels will face three solid teams in a as many days. Couple that with away games at Kentucky and Texas already on the schedule plus facing a quality B1G team at home, the 2014-15 schedule looks to be just as robust as the one this season.
Next season, UNC will bring in a trio of highly touted freshman to play point and wing alongside Marcus Paige and J.P. Tokoto. If the interior players continue to develop, the 2014-15 Tar Heels should have all the necessary pieces to put together a solid season. However, there is a good chance they will take some lumps in this tournament much like the 2011 team did in Puerto Rico. But like 2011 steady improvement throughout the season should lead to a very good year.
That is unless someone gets injured, decides to drive around in a rental car or hang out with a party promoter during the offseason.
