I was told by WTVD's Derek Rowles on Twitter that interview was unplanned. The crew happen to see Roy Williams and decided to ask about the ongoing saga of P.J. Hairston's rental cars. That being said, I am not sure what purpose the video serves other than it ends up being fairly entertaining more for Roy being Roy than anything else. Williams responded with the company line that there would be a comment when they have all the facts and then brought some patented Ol' Roy as he made his escape.
Classic stuff.
