North Carolina at #6 Notre Dame, 3:30 PM, NBC
The Tar Heels have very little to lose and everything to gain. A loss here puts UNC at 2-4 and facing an uphill climb on the back half of the schedule for a second straight season. Should the Heels pull the upset, it makes the bowl eligibility math a little less complicated and could give UNC a boost going into the second half of the season.
The last time UNC was in South Bend it was during John Bunting's final years. UNC lost 45-26. The Tar Heels won the last meeting 29-24 in 2008, only the second time ever UNC had beaten the Irish. However due to the 2008 wins being vacated, the series record between the two teams officially stands at 1-16. Fun fact: There was once a three game stretch the Heels didn't score against Notre Dame. The Irish shut UNC out in 1965, 1966 and 1971.
