Game Thread: UNC vs Ohio State

North Carolina vs Ohio State, 1:00 PM, CBS

The recent history of this match-up has UNC going 3-0 in games played in the Roy Williams Era. The most prominent game was during the 2006-07 season. UNC and Ohio State were both ranked in the top five when the two teams met during the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The Heels rallied to pull out a 98-89 win. The following season UNC traveled to Columbus to beat Ohio State 65-55 with Ty Lawson out of the lineup due to injury. The latest game in the series was in the 2009-10 season and constituted one of the head scratching games for UNC that season. The Heels beat the Buckeyes by four in New York.

Overall, Roy Williams is 15-5 in his tenure at UNC against the B1G and 10-0 against the two perennial basketball powers of that league Ohio State and Michigan State.

One more note, Ohio State's Shannon Scott is the son of Tar Heel great Charlie Scott. I am sure that won't be mentioned at all.
