Inside Carolina has a full run down of Hughes commitment here and here. Prior to the announcement the scuttlebutt was Hughes was heading to NC State.
Hughes is a three star recruit according to Scout.com and ranked 66th overall at his position and third in the state of North Carolina. He had offers from NC State, Florida, Auburn, Clemson, Duke, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia Tech along with a few others. While Hughes is slated as a cornerback, there are indications he could see action on the offensive side of the ball.
