UNC Training Camp Links(8/6)

Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

Training camp for UNC football is rapidly approaching the end of its first week. Here are some of the stories floating around out there on the internet.

-T.J. Thorpe did not practice on Tuesday and while Larry Fedora won't confirm the nature of the injury, it does appear to be a setback of sorts. That and this tweet from Thorpe seems indicative that something significant is going on.

-Harold Gutmann at the Durham Herald-Sun takes a look at UNC's offensive line and how it is progressing.

-The N&O's Andrew Carter has video of Larry Fedora's post practice media session on Tuesday as well as some sights and sounds from practice.

-Inside Carolina talks to new offensive coordinator Seth Littrell about installing the offense. IC also has an extensive photo gallery.

-Over at GoHeels.com, Turner Walston details the first day in full pads and more photo galleries here and here.

At this point nothing earth shattering has been revealed outside of Thorpe being injured. The loss of Thorpe puts pressure on Quinshad Davis and Ryan Switzer to step up both in terms of production and leadership roles. The quarterback competition is ongoing with Marquise Williams and Mitch Trubisky splitting time at the ones. Other key battles are occurring on the offensive line which is a primary area of concern heading into the season.
