On the two major injuries, Roy Williams indicated that Joel Berry had been released to do "dummy offense" but no contact. He will not play versus Louisville and Williams said he is "99.9%" sure he won't play Monday versus Virginia. It has been two weeks since Berry's injury was first reported. UNC's schedule lightens up significantly following this latest Saturday-Monday slate with games at Boston College on February 7th then at Pitt on February 14th. That would afford Berry ample time to perhaps get back to 100% without missing too many more games.

Theo Pinson remains out and Williams said it would be "four weeks" before the options he spoke of last week were considered. Pinson broke the fifth metatarsal in his foot against Wake Forest on January 21st in Winston-Salem. The four week mark from then would be February 18th which is the night of the Duke game. Williams noted that four weeks was the timetable to evaluate Pinson again.

And yes, there was a Gerry the Bear question. Williams said if Gerry didn't turn the ball over as much he'd play some of J.P. Tokoto's minutes.
