It wasn't pretty and it wasn't easy, but the North Carolina Tar Heels are your 2015 Coastal Division champions.
UNC choked up a 24-10 fourth quarter lead and Virginia Tech scored first in overtime but Marquise Williams connected with Quinshad Davis on a 5-yard touchdown pass in the Heels' portion of the OT period and Carolina escaped with a 30-27 win in retiring Hokie coach Frank Beamer's final game in Lane Stadium.
Elijah Hood rushed for 115 yards and 2 touchdowns and it looked like the Heels would cruise and deny Beamer a Hollywood ending. But Williams coughed the ball up twice in the last seven minutes and the Hokies converted both into touchdowns to send the game into overtime.
UNC moves to 10-1 on the season and a perfect 7-0 in the ACC. Carolina will make their first-ever appearance in the ACC Championship Game on December 5th in Charlotte against #1-ranked Clemson.
