Game Thread: UNC vs Georgia Tech

UPDATE: Joel Berry out with a stomach illness. Will not play vs Georgia Tech.

This is the first home game for the Tar Heels since Dean Smith passed way two week ago. It also precedes the public celebration of Smith's life set for Sunday at 2:00 PM. In that respect this weekend is about final closure for the Tar Heel community. A moment of silence for the legendary Tar Heel coach will be observed just prior to the game.

On the ACC standings side, UNC is in a three way tie for fourth at 8-5 with Louisville and Syracuse. The Orange have self imposed a ban for the ACC Tournament meaning the battle for the #4 seed and Wednesday bye in the ACC Tournament is between the Tar Heels and Cardinals. Every game matters.
