Football

-The Durham Herald Sun takes a look at UNC's kicking game. As we noted here, the FG kicking was hot garbage last season. There was hope that redshirt freshman Freeman Jones could provide some answers but he has been banged up. Fun fact: At Southern Miss, Larry Fedora had a kicker who missed six straight extra points.

-Meanwhile over on the punting side of special teams, the Daily Tar Heel looks at freshman punter Corbin Daly who overcame a serious injury to become a highly touted prospect.

Basketball

-Adam Lucas looks at the role the recently departed Danny Lotz played on 1957 NCAA championship team.

-Marcus Paige, Justin Jackson, Nate Britt and Joel Berry played some pick-up with the students on Thursday.
