A look back at the week that was for UNC non-revenue sports.
Women's soccer(2-0 for the week, 4-0 on the season)
The women's soccer team hit the road for a pair of games in Austin, Texas. The Tar Heels handled the Longhorns 2-0 on Friday with goals from Cameron Castleberry and Joanna Boyles early in the second half.
On Sunday, UNC dominated UT-San Antonio 5-0. Alex Newfield had a pair of goals to bring her season total to five through four games. Summer Green also scored twice to tally four goals in as many games. Jessie Scarpa rounded out the scoring with a goal of her own.
UNC is 4-0 through the early season and has yet to give up a goal.

Men's Soccer(2-0 for the week and season)
The men's soccer team opened the regular season with a pair of wins over the weekend. The Tar Heels squeaked by FIU 1-0 on Friday. Raby George's penalty kick goal in the 82nd minute was just enough to give UNC a one goal win.
The Heels moved to 2-0 on Sunday with a 3-0 win over Santa Clara. George tallied his second penalty kick goal of the season. Zach Wright and Andy Lopez also scored with Lopez assisting on the Wright goal.
What's next: 9/4 vs William & Mary, 9/6 vs Tulsa.
Field Hockey(2-0 on the week and season)
UNC opened the season in Ann Arbor, MI taking on a pair of B1G foes in the field hockey version of the ACC/B1G Challenge. Malin Evert and Casey Di Nardo both scored off corners to stake UNC a 2-0 lead. Michigan answered in the 55th minute but the Tar Heels managed to hold on for a 2-1 win.
The Tar Heels faced Iowa on Sunday and collected a second 2-1 win. UNC took an early 1-0 with a Nina Notman goal in the third minute. Emily Wold put UNC up 2-0 just before halftime. An early second half goal from Iowa cut the Tar Heel lead in half but it wasn't enough as UNC opened the season 2-0.

Volleyball(1-2 on the week and season)
UNC opened the season with a pair of losses before snagging its first win of the season. UNC participated in the Women of Troy Baden Invitational in Los Angeles over the weekend. The Tar Heels fell to USC 3-1 to open the season then 3-1 to BYU. The Heels salvaged a 3-0 match win over Chicago State to avoid an 0-3 start.
