In the grand scheme of the college football world this game isn't a huge deal but for UNC and Illinois both it could set the course for the rest of the season. Illinois fired its coach just prior to the season and the team has responded probably because said coach was an awful human being.

At any rate, UNC needs this win or the rest of the season will be spend "behind the sticks" on bowl eligibility
