Better late than never right?
During the Carolina Panthers 31-24 win over the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL Playoffs, former Tar Heel safety Tre Boston came on the blitz and finally got home against former NC State/Wisconsin QB Russell Wilson.
Here is an alternate link in case the NFL gets to the embed video.
For three years while Wilson was at NC State, he tortured the Tar Heels in every way imaginable. For Tar Heel fans who are also fans of the Carolina Panthers that torture continued once Wilson got to Seattle. Before the Panthers rallied to beat Seattle earlier this season, Wilson was 7-0 against UNC and Carolina.
In today's playoff game, Carolina raced to a 31-0 halftime lead with Wilson throwing two interceptions, one for a pick six. The second half saw Seattle rally and it seemed like Wilson was about to pull another miracle out of his rear end. The three second half touchdowns included one eerily similar the play in Chapel Hill during the 2010 season. Wilson scrambled backwards from the four yard line and under pressure threw a touchdown pass to the back of the end zone.
That one play nearly undid years of therapy with the Panther win keeping me sane.
