Tar Heels News 10/10/16: Two basketball recruits discuss UNC plans

Basketball recruits; UNC football’s destiny in the Coastal

Raleigh & Company | R.L. Bynum: UNC’s energy against Virginia Tech was lacking, which may be sort of understandable in those hurricane conditions. However, they’ll have to do better against Miami next weekend if they want to keep their ACC hopes alive.

Carolina Blue | Ross Martin: Mitch Trubisky didn’t blame the weather for the team’s sluggish play on Saturday. The quarterback, among the rest of the offense, just didn’t play well. UNC no longer controls their own destiny in the Coastal Division, making the loss more significant than it may have otherwise been.

Rivals.com | Eric Bossi: Five-star recruit Jarred Vanderbilt will officially visit UNC next week before taking trips to Texas and Arizona later this month. The Houston native ranks 21st overall in the class of 2017. Carolina is up first, and will need to make a strong impression.

Inside Carolina | Evan Daniels: Kevin Knox, 6’8” combo guard, has narrowed his school choices down to four - UNC, Duke, Kentucky, Florida State. He intends to sign some time in either March or April. He says he’ll be watching how the Heels use Justin Jackson closely, because he feels like it might be telling for how he would be utilized.
