ESPN | David M. Hale: With the ACC Coastal picture still up in the air, it’s possible that the most important game will have been played during a hurricane if we look back and see that everything hinged upon UNC vs Virginia Tech. It could come down to UNC’s win over Florida State as well.

Carolina Blue | Ross Martin: Third down defense has been a focus of UNC’s defensive improvement. They held the Virginia offense to 3-of-19 on third down, which was fairly important when it came to the Tar Heels securing the victory in Charlottesville.

Busting Brackets | Mike Knapp: Entering his senior season, Kennedy Meeks has one final chance to put everything together and be the player he was seen as earlier in his career. Meeks took a lot of flak last season, and never really put together the impressive campaign many expected of him.

Pro Football Focus | Jeff Dooley: Mitch Trubisky ranks as the sixth best quarterback in college football with his near-perfect QB rating. The lone blemish on Trubisky’s record is the rough game in the terrible conditions of Hurricane Matthew, and he has been a huge weapon for the Heels in pretty much every other game.
