It’s Carolina’s bye week, so we’re basically all uninterested in football this weekend right? There are a few notable games this week, in the ACC as well as the Top 25. Well, not quite. UNC really needed a win out of Pitt against Virginia Tech on Thursday night, but the Hokies edged that one out by 3. Now, the Tar Heels just need to win out and hope for the best.
Saturday at 3:30, neutral site EverBank Field hosts the annual “World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party” with the Florida-Georgia game. Throw the spread out the window, because history has proven that anything can happen in this game. Later at 7:00, Nebraska visits Wisconsin in an almost top-ten matchup. To round out the evening, Clemson is on the road against Florida State, a game that has decided the winner of the Atlantic for the past seven years. An “upset” by Florida State could make things a little interesting this season, even though Clemson holds the tie breaker against Louisville.
