ACC Sports | Mark Carroll: UNC and Memphis held a private scrimmage on Sunday, so not much is known about the comings and goings of play on the court. Sketchy inside sources say that UNC came out on top, and that Joel Berry was the best player on the floor. Here’s hoping that carries over to games the rest of us are permitted to watch.
Inside Carolina | Sherrell McMillan: After cancelling a previous trip to Chapel Hill, Alabama post player Garrison Brooks will be at Carolina this coming weekend. The 6’9” senior has already visited Auburn and Georgia, and will also be looking at Mississippi State where his father is an assistant coach.
Daily Tar Heel | Kirk Meyer: At the team’s weekly press conference Larry Fedora said his team used the extra practice days of the bye week to prepare for Georgia Tech’s triple option offense, knowing that it’s a different look for the team to try and handle. Mitch Trubisky discussed his name rising in draft projections as well, saying that even having the opportunity to stay or leave at the end of the season would be a blessing in and of itself.
Chapelboro.com | Avery Trendel: Both the UNC men’s and women’s soccer teams are in a great position to compete for a championship as they enter postseason play. The men are ranked third in the country, and have lost only twice all season, while the women are ranked at 11.
