Carolina Blue | Sean Cavanaugh: Want to find a real weak spot in UNC’s loss to Duke? The secondary was just not good. The Tar Heels are the only FBS without an interception this year, but their secondary had been strong before the team’s trip to Durham. UNC’s playmakers didn’t make their plays and that cost them the win.
Fayetteville Observer | Sammy Batten: Unfortunately, it is looking less and less likely that Mitch Trubisky will be suiting up in Carolina blue next season. His stock as an NFL prospect has never been higher. Mel Kiper ranked Trubisky as the top quarterback prospect for 2017 ahead of even DeShaun Watson and Brad Kaaya.
Inside Carolina | Greg Barnes: Joel Berry got off to a great start filling the shoes of Marcus Paige. Berry was a vocal leader on the floor in UNC’s season opener against Tulane. Being more vocal on the floor hasn’t necessarily come easily for Berry, but he has, most importantly, led by example.
FanRag Sports | Mark Carroll: Carolina returns six players from the team that played for the National Championship in April, but two of their main players have moved on. That brought on a new era for the Tar Heels, who still have the talent to return to the same place this coming year.
