If Boston College can win an ACC game, anything can happen. Here’s a look at the ACC heading into Week 10.
1. Clemson (8-0 overall, 5-0 ACC)
The Tigers almost got got when they hit the road to take on Florida State. It looked like a very real possibility that their undefeated season might be in jeopardy. They won, though. So they are still here.
Next: vs Syracuse
2. Louisville (7-1 overall, 5-1 ACC)
The Cardinals got a bit shaken on the road at Virginia but managed to stay the course. There shouldn’t be any more bumps in the road if Louisville plays like Louisville.
Next: at Boston College
3. Virginia Tech (6-2 overall, 4-1 ACC)
So, it has come to this. This week, we are all...Blue Devils fans? Gross. So gross.
Next: at Duke
4. North Carolina (6-2 overall, 4-1 ACC)
It’s homecoming week in Chapel Hill! The Tar Heels need some help to return to the promised land of the ACC Championship game, but all they can do is take care of the business they can control like taking down Georgia Tech and the triple option.
Next: vs. Georgia Tech
5. Pittsburgh (5-2 overall, 2-2 ACC)
Oh, Panthers. We were all rooting for you! Why did you have to lose? Why?!
Next: at Miami
6. Florida State (5-3 overall, 2-2 ACC)
The Seminoles hung with Clemson down to the wire before ultimately coming up a bit short. Should be a familiar feeling for them. Fortunately for FSU, their schedule for the rest of the season should be pretty easy.
Next: at NC State
7. Wake Forest (5-3 overall, 2-2 ACC)
The Demon Deacons could go to a bowl in the Year of Our Lord 2016. Football is weird.
Next: vs Virginia
8. Syracuse (4-4 overall, 2-2 ACC)
The Orange lost badly to a bad Notre Dame team and beat a pretty good Virginia Tech team. Football is weird.
Next: at Clemson
9. Georgia Tech (5-3 overall, 2-3 ACC)
The Yellow Jackets beat Duke, but UNC is coming off a bye ready to take on Homecoming week. It could be a long afternoon in Kenan for the guys from Atlanta if they don’t find a way to stop Carolina’s offense.
Next: at North Carolina
10. Miami (4-4 overall, 1-3 ACC)
Four straight losses and a date with a pretty good Pitt team does bode well for the Hurricanes. Things get a bit easier for them in the home stretch, which may help them pad their record a little bit.
Next: vs Pittsburgh
11. NC State (4-4 overall, 1-3 ACC)
You lost to Boston College at home. That is all.
Next: vs Florida State
12. Virginia (2-6 overall, 1-3 ACC)
Virginia, surprisingly, gave Louisville all they could handle for most of the game last weekend. It would really be nice if they could show that kind of competitiveness against the Hokies in a couple weeks.
Next: at Wake Forest
13. Boston College (4-4 overall, 1-4 ACC)
The good news for Boston College is that they finally won an ACC game! Congrats to you. The bad news is that Louisville is coming to town and that could get ugly.
Next: vs Louisville
14. Duke (3-5 overall, 0-4 ACC)
Duke’s best chance for an ACC victory will be the final game of the season against Miami. Even Boston College won an ACC game! This is just embarrassing.
Next: vs Virginia Tech
