Carolina Blue | Ross Martin: As a sophomore, Kenny Williams is going to need to take on a bigger role. That became doubly true when Theo Pinson broke his foot. Williams is feeling more confident in his second season with the Heels, feeling less nervous and being able to just go out and play.
Inside Carolina | Greg Barnes: Georgia Tech has been a thorn in the side of UNC, but the Tar Heels need a win in order to keep their Coastal dreams alive. Carolina has won nine of their last 10 games in Kenan Stadium with the lone exception being one Hurricane Matthew sized mess.
Tar Heel Illustrated | Andrew Jones: There wasn’t a whole lot to take away from UNC beating a team by a lot that they should beat by a lot. Luke Maye was particularly impressive, looking like the player he was billed as coming into the program. Joel Berry did everything he needed to do as Carolina’s new point guard.
Carolina Blue | Noah Grant: Austin Proehl may not get the recognition of Mitch Trubisky or Ryan Switzer, but he’s having a breakout season for the Tar Heels. The loss of Mack Hollins has increased the need for Proehl to be a force on offense, and he has definitely gotten the attention of defenders.
