The Tar Heels close out their non-conference schedule with a matchup in the Smith Center against Monmouth Wednesday night. UNC is coming off an impressive pre-Christmas win against Northern Iowa in which they held their opponents to just 16 second half points.
Monmouth is going to want to run to try and keep up with Carolina in this one, so it should be interesting to see if the Tar Heels can shake off any Christmas break rust and start fast. That hasn't really been their MO this year, but it would be good to get that going before ACC play starts on Saturday.
