UNC @ Georgia Tech Gamethread

It's ACC time.

Rob Kinnan-USA TODAY Sports

As 2016 draws to a close, ACC play gets underway. UNC starts their conference schedule on the road in Atlanta, squaring off with Georgia Tech on New Year's Eve. Carolina has won their last seven meetings with the Yellow Jackets, including the last three games in Atlanta.

Carolina is coming off a win against Monmouth on Wednesday in which point guard Joel Berry needed two IV treatments in the hours before the game. Justin Jackson definitely picked up the slack with Berry feeling under the weather, but UNC also got strong contributions from Isaiah Hicks and Kennedy Meeks. Georgia Tech's last game was a very win over North Carolina A&T at home. They have lost to Ohio, Penn State, Tennessee, and Georgia so far this season.

You can tune into the game on your local ACC Network affiliate for the noon ET tipoff. That's WRAL in the Triangle area, WMYV in the Greensboro/Winston-Salem area, and WBTV in Charlotte.

Go Heels!
