Speaking for myself, I don't hate the later tip time because #DadLife on Saturday makes for a pretty full schedule of kids' activites from dawn until late afternoon. On the other hand at around 2:00 AM we will have some very dedicate members of the media who will no longer be able to lift their hands.
The schedule in Raleigh goes like this on Saturday. Virginia-Butler will start things off at 7:10 PM followed by UNC-Providence at approximately 9:40 PM. If this doesn't seem to make sense, especially with Utah-Gonzaga playing at 8:40 PM EDT in Denver, that's the NCAA for you. One possible explanation via Doc is the NCAA was banking on a UNC-USC game which would put this game on in primetime in the LA market. Another theory is spreading out the games for Duke, Kentucky/Indiana, Kansas and UNC so they don't overlap with each other. Another factor might be the fact no one would be able to stay awake for a Virginia game starting that late at night...okay I made that up.
Whatever the case, it will be a late night in Raleigh for the #1 seeded Tar Heels as they hope to move into the Sweet Sixteen.
