2016 ACC Tournament Second Round Open Thread

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Day 2 of the ACC Tournament includes a full slate of four games and more basketball than you can shake a stick at.

Full bracket is here and your schedule for today looks like this:

#8 Pittsburgh vs #9 Syracuse - Noon - ESPN/ACC Network

#5 Duke vs #12 NC State - 2:00 PM(approx) - ESPN/ACC Network

#7 Clemson vs #10 Georgia Tech - 7:00 PM - ESPN2/ACC Network

#6 Virginia Tech vs #11 Florida State, 9:00 PM(approx) - ESPN2/ACC Network

Nothing says ACC Tournament Wednesday like Pitt vs Syracuse. The winner of this game gets UNC on Thursday at noon. Facing the Orange zone for a third time is probably less desirable than getting Pitt for a second time so I would imagine UNC fans will be in Pitt's corner here.

NC State got 24 points and six made threes from Maverick Rowan on Tuesday to advance to today's second round match-up with Duke. This game is probably the most intriguing of the four contests today given NC State's size versus a Duke team that just four days ago gave up 64(!) rebounds to UNC. Duke swept the season series but with the Blue Devils showing signs of fatigue lately and NCSU already having played a game, this could be an upset special.

In the nightcap, Clemson needs to avoid a bad loss to ensure the NCAA Tournament resume continues to look acceptable. The second day closes out with Virginia Tech looking to do the same versus Florida State.

With the exception of Duke's 76% win probability, KenPom has the other three games as toss-ups. Should make for a fun day.

Give me chalk: Pitt, Duke, Clemson and Virginia Tech
