The match-ups for next season's ACC/B1G Challenge have been revealed with UNC drawing a road trip to Indiana.
Via UNC:
The University of North Carolina will travel to Bloomington, Ind., to play the Indiana Hoosiers in the 2016 ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
The game is scheduled for Wednesday, November 30. The starting time will be announced later this summer.
The Tar Heels are 9-8 all-time in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, including 9-4 under head coach Roy Williams. UNC is 1-2 against the Hoosiers in the event, with a win at Indiana in 2004-05, a loss in Chapel Hill in 2001-02 and a loss in Bloomington in 2011-12.
Indiana now matches Illinois as UNC’s second-most frequent opponent in the 18 years of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Michigan State (five games) is the only Big Ten school the Tar Heels have faced more often since the event began in 1999-2000. Indiana is the first Challenge opponent to play host to UNC three times at its home arena.
This game will be a rematch of the Sweet Sixteen game in Philadelphia which UNC won 101-86 in impressive fashion. Neither of these teams will be the same when they meet on November 30th having both suffered attrition. UNC will be without Brice Johnson and Marcus Paige while the Hoosiers will be minus Yogi Ferrell and possibly Troy Williams who is still weighing his NBA options. Indiana will have center Thomas Bryant back for what should be a fairly even match-up.
