Sports Illustrated | Jamie Lisanti: Former Tar Heel Shalane Flanagan has a unique diet as an Olympic marathon runner. Her post-race treat? Doughnuts. While Flanagan doesn’t get too bogged down with calorie counting, she does pay close attention to what she eats before a race.

The Robesonian | Rodd Baxley: Lumberton High School running back Zamir White visited UNC and called his time there great. When asked which schools were pursuing him the strongest, White named UNC first.

Inside Carolina | Greg Barnes: The UNC football coaching staff has decided on a group approach to play calling in 2016. Among them, Larry Fedora says he will have an increased role in the play calling this year. Hopefully the strategy pays off.

TWC News | Caroline Blair: Women’s basketball coach Sylvia Hatchell asks visitors to her blueberry patch to donate to the UNC Lineberger Cancer Center. Those donations have helped the center grow over the years, and Hatchell needed to lean heavily on them when she was diagnosed with Leukemia.
