With their narrow victory over Ole Miss, Alabama remains at the top of the AP Poll for the fourth week in a row. Louisville makes a big jump in the polls after their dominant victory over FSU. UNC is just one of the “others receiving votes”, and the pollsters can’t quite figure out where to put Georgia.
Let’s take a look at this week’s AP Top 25 Poll.

- Where is UNC?
After defeating James Madison by a score of 56-28 this past weekend, the Tar Heels fell to number 35 in the AP Poll. This is one spot down from the previous week. It doesn’t matter how good of a FCS team James Madison is, the fact is that Carolina gave up 28 points at home to a FCS team. Another issue for the Heels is that Illinois lost 34-10 to Western Michigan, so that win doesn’t seem nearly as good as it did the previous week.
UNC was ranked #19 by Brett McMurphy of ESPN, so there is that.
