Inside Carolina | Greg Barnes: Defensive end Dajaun Drennon returned to practice this week after sitting out since April while recovering from a broken foot that required surgery. In addition to Drennon, Nazair Jones also returned to practice after missing the James Madison game with a concussion.

Associated Press | Aaron Beard: Entering ACC play this weekend, it’s very clear that the Tar Heels have a bit of a penalty problem. Larry Fedora notes that the amount of penalties is unacceptable, and that he has told his team as such. Hopefully they have it figured out.

GoHeels.com | Turner Walston: What do the Tar Heels need to do to take care of business as Pittsburgh visits Chapel Hill? First of all, Mitch Trubisky needs to be the quarterback he was against James Madison. It also goes without saying that the run defense has to step up.

247Sports | Jerry Meyer: Roy Williams took a recruiting trip to visit 2019 combo forward Matthew Hurt in Rochester, Minnesota, this week. The 6’9” prospect is currently ranked 4th in 247Sports composite with Kansas currently beating out UNC, Minnesota, and Louisville according to the site’s Crystal Ball prediction.
