GoHeels.com | Turner Walston: Bug Howard was so confident in his ability to execute that he told his defender, Pitt’s Ryan Lewis, that the Tar Heels were going to run the same play three times to try and win the game. Despite giving his defender that knowledge, Howard still came out on top.
Fayetteville Observer | Sammy Batten: On a night when Bug Howard’s catch kind of stole the show, Ryan Switzer was the catalyst for UNC’s comeback win. Switzer was a huge weapon for Trubisky, and helped drive the Heels toward the end zone for their game-winning score.
Carolina Blue | Jarrett Corder: UNC’s defense had been gashed by Pittsburgh all afternoon until the unit stepped up in a big way to provide a crucial stop in order for the offense to get the ball back. The guys seemed determined not to let that game be the one to end their home winning streak, and they did what they needed to to ensure it didn’t happen.
Tar Heel Illustrated | Andrew Jones: Carolina came away from their game against Pitt being able to feel good about a few very important aspects of their team. Mitch Trubisky’s play was, once again, very strong. The team also felt like they were able to learn about who they are as a team, and show what they can do.
