UNC vs Florida State Gamethread

The Tar Heels welcome an ACC title contender to the Smith Center.

Adam Hagy-USA TODAY Sports

Florida State is the best team the Tar Heels have taken on at home this season. So far, Carolina has held serve on their home court with a perfect 8-0 record. That will be tested Saturday afternoon against the Seminoles. UNC will have to find a way to win without Tony Bradley off the bench, who is out with a concussion. With the massive size of Florida State looming, it will be worth watching to see how the Tar Heels play without one of their big men.

Hopefully the crowd will be a good one to give the Tar Heels a proper home court advantage. Road games in the ACC have been incredibly tough on visiting teams, and the environment needs to make it hard on Florida State today. The magnitude of this game, although still fairly early in the season, shouldn't be overlooked. The Seminoles can absolutely come away the ACC crown this year. Can UNC prevent that from happening?

Should you be watching from your seat at home instead of the Smith Center this afternoon, the game will be on ESPN at 2:00 pm ET.

Go Heels!
