This morning, the Tar Heels woke up all alone in first place in the ACC. With Georgia Tech's win over Florida State last night, the Heels' loss to the Yellow Jackets on December 31st may no longer be in disaster territory. Things look pretty good for UNC.
Now, the Tar Heels will try to fall asleep alone in first place. To do that, they'll need to take care of business at home against the Hokies. Carolina needs to do all of the damage they can before the roughest part of the conference schedule comes along to close out the year.
Virginia Tech is coming off two straight wins against Georgia Tech and Clemson, while the Tar Heels are seeking their seventh straight victory since the aforementioned unpleasantness on New Year's Eve. Carolina is also looking to stay perfect at home this year.
You can watch tonight's game on ESPN at 8:00 pm ET if you're not cheering them on from the Smith Center.
Go Heels!
