UNC vs Pittsburgh Gamethread

The Tar Heels look to kick off another win streak with a game at home against Pitt.

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

The last time the Tar Heels lost, they proceeded to go on a seven-game win streak. Should they decide to do that again following their loss on the road at Miami, no one who is a fan of light blue would complain. They'll have a chance to get that started tonight against Pittsburgh at home.

Playing in the confines of the Dean Dome has been kind to the Tar Heels this season. They are undefeated at home so far, but the hardest part of their schedule still lies in front of them. This game against Pitt really marks the last game before the gauntlet that is February begins.

Carolina will once again be without the services of Theo Pinson, who is missing his second straight game with a foot/ankle injury of unknown severity. Pinson has looked tremendously important to the Heels this season, but his absence just means other guys have to step up. Only Justin Jackson did so against Miami and it wasn't enough. Hopefully tonight will go better.

You can watch the game on ESPN2 at 7:00 pm ET if you aren't in Chapel Hill.

Go Heels!
