ACC Football Week Six: Tar Heel Blog Staff Predictions

Abandon hope all ye who enter here.

NCAA Football: North Carolina at Georgia Tech Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

If the shine hadn’t already worn off the 2017 North Carolina football team, a drubbing down in Atlanta was probably the final straw. You could maybe squint and forgive a loss to Louisville and Duke, but now even the idea of making it to a bowl game feels like laughable optimism.

Even with that being the case, I asked the Tar Heel Blog staff to give their predictions for the ACC football slate this week. Here’s what they said:

There are still brave souls who believe Carolina can win, and bless them for that. Most of our undying optimism has, well, died. Clemson and Virginia Tech are the only unanimous picks for the week, understandably.

Matt still holds the lead among writers with his 44-6 record on the year. Jason is just one game behind Matt, and Alan and I are right on their heels. It’s still anyone’s game with plenty of football left to be played (perhaps unfortunately, depending on your position).

Feel free to leave your own predictions or critiques of ours down in the comments below.
