UNC Football: NC State Game Thread

The finale.

NCAA Football: Western Carolina at North Carolina Rob Kinnan-USA TODAY Sports

We’ve reached the end. This season has been a long and disappointing one for UNC football, but they are riding a two-game win streak heading into Raleigh for their final game of the season against the Wolfpack. You can bet this team would love nothing more than to go out on a high note and spoil a bit of State’s season.

The big things today will be looking toward the future. Is Nathan Elliott the guy at quarterback going forward? He has definitely not done anything to lose that designation in his time there this season. Austin Proehl fought back from a season-ending injury to suit up in Carolina blue two more times, but the young wide receivers who had to step up in his place will aim to showcase themselves as weapons going forward.

No one could have predicted the laundry list of injuries UNC has had to contend with this season. Though that has led to a number of disappointing results, there is plenty of reason to be optimistic for the future.

Go Heels!
