The North Carolina Tar Heels basketball team is back on the better coast after a Thanksgiving trip out west. Their first opponent back in the eastern time zone is the Michigan Wolverines as part of the ACC/Big 10 Challenge. Carolina will be looking to rebound from their horrendous showing against Michigan State on Sunday.
What needs to go better for UNC in order to take down Michigan? Well, everything except maybe the defense. Their defense was a lone bright spot against the Spartans in the PK80 tournament, but even that wasn’t enough to salvage a program-worst shooting performance. Not hard to go up from there, right?
Carolina will also be looking to improve their ACC/Big 10 Challenge record to 10-9 with a win. Last year’s trip to Assembly Hall in Bloomington was not an inspiring performance by the future national champions, and hopefully the disaster of last Sunday will be looked at similarly when they cut down the nets in San Antonio next April. Knock on wood.
We’ll be back, as always, after the game with a full wrap up. Until then...
Go Heels!
