The North Carolina Tar Heels basketball team was able to make it through their difficult non-conference schedule with one understandable but disappointing loss and one utterly inexplicable loss. That record at this point in the season lines right up with some of the best Tar Heel teams of the last several years.
Now the non-conference schedule is behind us. UNC welcomes the Wake Forest Demon Deacons to Chapel Hill for a noon tip-off in the Dean Dome. The Deacs started the season atrociously before righting the ship a bit in a six-game winning streak before running into a tough Tennessee Volunteers team their last time out.
Carolina played a close game against Wake Forest last season in Winston-Salem that they ultimately prevailed in. You may remember it better as the game in which Tony Bradley suffered a nasty concussion after smacking his head on the LJVM Coliseum floor. Here’s to an easier win for the guys in white and light blue today.
We’ll be back after the game with a full round up of the happenings. Until then...
Go Heels!
