UNC football has landed Nashville cornerback Caleb Rozar for their 2017 class. Rozar initially committed to the Tar Heels just 30 minutes following his attendance at Larry Fedora’s Freak Show. Rozar is 6’3” and 200 pounds, playing his high school football at Dickson County in Tennessee.
Rozar chose the Tar Heels over offers from schools such as Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Georgia Tech, among plenty of others. He pointed to his comfort with the coaches and school as a deciding factor in his commitment.
UNC came away impressed with Rozar’s size, physicality, and coverage skills. They believe he has what it takes to remain a cornerback at the collegiate level. Rozar did seem to have a particular fondness for Coach Warren, who is no longer with the program, but it wasn’t enough to deter his decision to stick with the Tar Heels.
