UNC vs UVA Gamethread

It's time for the Tar Heels to take on the Wahoos again. This time on the road with a chance to win the ACC outright on the line.

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The last time the Tar Heels and Cavaliers met, Carolina had their way with them. It was inside the friendly confines of the Smith Center in Chapel Hill, Virginia couldn't buy a basket from behind the three-point line, and UNC coasted to a fairly easy victory. The memory of all of that is still fairly fresh.

Now, Carolina will have to take on the Wahoos on the road in Charlottesville. With a win, the Tar Heels will win the ACC outright heading into next week's ACC Tournament. They've already secured the top seed in the tournament, but are looking to have the regular season title all to themselves. They can accomplish that by getting a tough road win tonight.

If you believe in momentum, it's hard to argue against it being on UNC's side right now. They have looked every bit like the contenders for a National Championship, and appear to be hitting their stride at exactly the right time.

You can catch tonight's game on ESPN at 7:00 pm ET.

Go Heels!
