The #5 North Carolina Tar Heels had a chance to wrap up sole possession of the ACC regular season title last night in Charlottesville. Instead, the Tar Heels showed up flat and unable to generate much offense against a tough Virginia defense.

In arguably the worst offensive performance in the Roy Williams era, it is difficult to give out the game ball. However, Joel Berry II had the best game on the squad. He was the lone UNC player in double figures, finishing with 12 points. The six-foot guard had the second most rebounds for UNC behind Kennedy Meeks’ seven, pulling down five.

After two road games in three days, the Heels have a chance to rest and regroup. Coach Williams and the guys need to look at the tape before the rematch with Duke on Saturday. Hopefully we will see a different team this weekend than we saw yesterday.
