The Tar Heels have made it back to the Final Four for the second year in a row. Unlike most of the teams that join them, they aren’t just happy to be here. Carolina wants to make good on their goal to come away with a championship this time.

Standing in their way first is Oregon. The Ducks were able to take down 1-seed Kansas in the regional final, and they did it with the kind of hot shooting the Heels will need to be able to contain. UNC’s defense was stifling against Kentucky, and they’ll need to bring that again today.

For Carolina, the question will be how effective Joel Berry II can be on two injured ankles. Can his teammates like All-American Justin Jackson and Elite Eight hero Luke Maye step up and pick up any slack potentially left by Berry? Can UNC find a way to get their big men involved more down low offensively? It will be important in order for them to succeed.

The Tar Heels can get one step closer to their goal with a win today.

Go Heels!
