Fantasy Friday: UNC Basketball Challenge 3rd Round

This is the fourth part in our continuing UNC Fantasy Basketball Challenge. To catch up on how we arrived to this point visit our past articles.

Draft — 1st Round Match Ups — 2nd Round Match Ups

This week, we say goodbye to the first two teams eliminated; Chris and Andrew.

Chris was handed a 73-43 loss by Akil in the 1st Round. He was eliminated with a 81-24 loss to Chad in the 2nd Round.

Andrew ran into Al’s Jordan-led buzzsaw in the 1st Round. He fell 104-3 to place him in the elimination bracket. Although he performed better in the 2nd Round, he was eliminated with a 90-18 loss to Jake.

Rest of Round 2:

The match up between Akil and Tanya was one that seemed to have “barn-burner” status. However, Tanya was able to get a quick lead and hold on for the win to send Akil’s squad to the brink of elimination.

Coming off of a dominating win against Andrew, Al’s squad looked to continue their hot streak against Brandon’s Vince Carter powerhouse. Just like in the 1st Round, Al steamrolled his competition, sending them to the Elimination bracket.

Here’s how our bracket stands:

Round 3 Match Up:

Tanya vs Al

This match up pits two of our hottest teams in the field. Neither have experienced a loss. In this final of the regulation bracket, Al takes his commanding 195-28 total scoring up against Tanya who has been able to get by her opponents with a combined score of 123-100.
